The WS2000 offers 3 ways to sharpen your tools: Top Side with Tool Rest, the Chisel and Plane Iron Port and the Edge-Vision Port. The WS2000 sharpens chisel and plane blades up to 1 5/8" wide to a perfect 25° bevel angle without any set up time! The WS2000 also sharpens carving tools, lathe tools, scrapers, putty knives, axes, lawn mower blades and much more! Work Sharp can sharpen or grind nearly any tool in your shop. Work Sharp uses a powerful 1/5 hp motor and produces a max wheel speed of 1750 RPM, so it can handle heavy sharpening and grinding tasks. Work Sharp offers an active air cooled sharpening port with routed air flow and heat sink design to quickly sharpen your tools without overheating or damaging the steel. This innovative, patent pending chisel sharpening method also uses a diamond lapping plate to remove the burr while you sharpen, making sharpening even faster! I use it mainly for my lathe tools, but it does a fantastic job on chisels also. I have to admit that I am sharpening challenged.Sometimes I get it right and other times I mess up big time. This machine definately takes the guesswork out of sharpening tools.
The purchase through amazon was on time, I'm happy. As advertized the WS2000 is easy to use and puts a nice edge on wood working tools.
Looking forward to using it for other tools and blades that I have. I've only had a chance to sharpen my chisels with it so far but it works great.
An improvement I can think of is that a more permanent disk be devised rather than using sand paper disks would make this tool a 100 % must have. The only slightly negative comment I might mentioned is that sometimes the fine sand paper disk tears too easily. It works pretty much as advertized. Very usefull to have around the house.
I started sharpening my chisels and got them done so quick that I looked for more things to sharpen.
